Goodbye Horses 2008

In this film a subject is wearing a mask that can be shaped.

He casts its own identity during a continuous metamorphosis process.

At the beginning we witness the character confronting himself with his own image while constructing his appearance. Here the close up frame reminds us of a mirror where the subject bumps into his reflection. The subject is author of his identity.

Further on, the spatial context plays the main role.

Now the mask gains new capacities. It becomes a device, which records not only the desires of its wearer but its environment.

The character perceives his surrounding by leaving a trace on his face after a violent encounter.

With this project I am referring a contemporary feeling where identity is considered a liquid item.

A human aspect, which turns to be more a construction than a inherent personal feature.
